The course studies the formal geographical regions of the Argentine territory and its biogeography. It includes the study of settlement processes in the different regions, eco-regions, the excesses of nature and environmental preservation policies of the Argentine state, among other topics.

It consists of the study of the big Latin American regions in relation to their population distribution, quality of life and poverty. Argentine Contemporary Art
The course relates art history to cultural history from the perspective of the sociology of art. It aims at studying the characteristics of Argentine art and how it defines itself in the international context. This approach puts special emphasis on the visual arts and their relations to audiovisual arts and music.

Latin American Art
It consists of an approach to some key moments in the development of art forms in the region throughout history. The topics included are the relationship between characteristic features of national cultures and other tendencies in the region, pre-Columbian cultural forms and colonial art, art crafts made during national independence movements, development of modern art programs, plastic arts in the second half of the 20th century, and, finally, current debates about identity in Latin American art.
